SEND Cover Supervisor – September Start
Location: Bristol
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £100 – £120 per day (depending on experience)

Are you confident leading a classroom and passionate about supporting students with special educational needs?
Do you have experience working with children with SEND and want to play a key role in a specialist or inclusive school environment?

We are seeking a proactive and reliable SEND Cover Supervisor to join our team from September 2025. This role is ideal for someone with strong classroom management skills who is confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher across various subjects

Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment

Manage classroom behaviour effectively and sensitively

Offer pastoral and learning support, adapting to the needs of each pupil

Work collaboratively with TAs, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure continuity and support for all students

About You:
Experience working in a school or education setting, ideally with SEND pupils

Confident managing a classroom and supporting learners with diverse needs

Calm, adaptable, and patient with a strong understanding of inclusive practice

Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude

A passion for helping young people reach their full potential

Desirable:
Experience in a special school, alternative provision, or with SEMH

Knowledge of EHCPs, behaviour management strategies, or trauma-informed practice

Degree or relevant qualification in education, child development, or similar
