Job Description

Five Education is looking for a teacher to work within a secondary SEN school in Street, supporting students with a range of additional needs, including Autism, communication difficulties, and social and emotional needs.

This role will involve teaching across two classes, providing consistency and support to pupils in a specialist setting. You will be required until the end of the summer term, making this a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in SEN education.

The successful candidate will have classroom teaching experience and a good understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching methods. Experience working with SEND is highly desirable, and you should be confident in differentiating learning to meet a range of needs.

Teaching materials and resources are provided; however, the school encourages creativity and flexibility, allowing you to adapt lessons to best support pupil engagement and progress.

The ideal candidate may come from a primary, secondary, or FE background and will benefit from ongoing training and support. The school has a supportive staff team, strong leadership, and a positive ethos focused on helping every pupil achieve their potential.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, patient, and committed, with the ability to motivate and engage young people with additional needs.
